DHL Aero Expreso S.A. is seeking an experienced Captain to be based in Tocumen, Panama. This role involves the safe and efficient operation of flights, ensuring compliance with all aviation regulations and exercising sound judgment.
About the Role
The Captain, also known as Pilot in Command, is responsible for all aspects of flight operations. This includes conducting takeoffs, approaches, and landings, managing navigation and flight-plan adherence, coordinating with air traffic control, and managing emergency situations in accordance with civil aviation regulations and safety protocols. The Captain ensures all necessary flight and emergency equipment is functional and accessible. They are accountable for monitoring flight progress, managing deviations from the flight plan, and maintaining communication with air traffic control. Safety is paramount, with the authority to take necessary actions in circumstances that may endanger the aircraft or its occupants, even if such actions deviate from standard regulations.
Requirements
- Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL_ICAO).
- Recent logbook documentation, with the last three pages sealed by the AAC.
- Certified bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with a minimum level 4 in both spoken and written communication, as certified by the AAC.
- Current medical fitness certificate.
