Key Responsibilities

The First Officer is responsible for executing the Commander's orders and providing comprehensive support by sharing available information and offering insights and recommendations regarding flight conduct. Close attention to flight progress is crucial to enable taking control when necessary. Responsibilities also include:

  • Calculating take-off data.
  • Familiarising with the aircraft's technical status.
  • Verifying fuel quantities against the operational flight plan (OFP), highlighting any discrepancies that could impact the flight's regular progress.
  • Acquiring thorough knowledge of planned routes and aerodromes.
  • Actively participating in crew briefings, ensuring flight and weather briefings are conducted and evaluated.
  • Ensuring familiarity with all relevant documentation and information.
  • Verifying that required documents are current and performing necessary revisions in coordination with the Commander.
  • Reviewing the OFP and ATS documents prior to the Commander's signature.
  • Ensuring all flight documents are complete and onboard.
  • Supporting and supplementing flight documentation (e.g., OFP, flight log) in collaboration with other crew members.
  • Assisting the Commander in completing and forwarding flight documents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid GCAA or ICAO ATPL/IR (GCAA license preferred).
  • Current Class Rating for Boeing 737.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 500 hours total flight time.
  • High-level knowledge of international regulations governing commercial aircraft operations internationally over land and water.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

This is a full-time contract position requiring permanent residency in Dubai. Candidates must be permanent residents of Dubai or willing to relocate.
