About the Role
DC Aviation Al Futtaim is seeking an experienced First Officer for the Boeing 737 fleet to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will thrive in a demanding industry by demonstrating strong organizational capabilities and maintaining a flexible attitude to deliver consistent results under pressure. Excellent customer relationship skills, combined with cultural awareness and a willingness to operate on a flexible duty roster, are essential attributes for success and integration into the DCAF team.
Primary Duties
- Execute the Commander's directives, providing comprehensive support through available information and offering personal insights and recommendations regarding flight conduct.
- Maintain vigilant attention to flight progress to ensure readiness to assume control at any moment.
- Calculate take-off data.
- Familiarize oneself with the aircraft's technical status.
- Verify fuel quantities against the Operational Flight Plan (OFP), reporting any discrepancies that could affect flight regularity.
- Acquire thorough knowledge of routes and intended aerodromes.
- Participate actively in crew briefings, ensuring flight and weather briefings are conducted and evaluating prevailing weather conditions.
- Be accountable for familiarizing oneself with all necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure documents are current and coordinate revisions with the Commander.
- Review the OFP and ATS documents before Commander sign-off.
- Confirm the availability and completeness of all flight documents onboard.
- Support and supplement flight documentation (such as OFP and flight log) in collaboration with other crew members.
- Assist the Commander in completing and forwarding flight documents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possession of a valid GCAA or ICAO ATPL/IR, with a preference for a GCAA license.
- Holds a current Class Rating for the Boeing 737.
- Holds a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Accumulated a minimum of 500 hours of total flight time.
- Demonstrates a high level of knowledge regarding international regulations governing commercial aircraft operations over land and water.
- Possesses very good proficiency in the English language.
