Role Overview

DC Aviation Al Futtaim is actively recruiting an experienced First Officer specializing in Challenger 604/605/650 aircraft to join its esteemed team. Success in this demanding aviation sector requires robust organizational capabilities, adaptability, and the ability to consistently achieve outstanding results under pressure. Exceptional customer relationship skills, cultural sensitivity, and a willingness to adhere to a flexible duty roster are essential for becoming an integral part of the DCAF team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Executing the Captain's orders, providing comprehensive support with available information, and contributing personal insights and recommendations for flight operations. This necessitates vigilant monitoring of flight progress to enable seamless takeover of aircraft control when required.
  • Performing accurate take-off data calculations.
  • Maintaining thorough familiarity with the aircraft's technical status.
  • Conducting rigorous comparisons between the actual fuel quantity on board and the quantity specified on the Operational Flight Plan (OFP). The First Officer is responsible for alerting the Captain to any observed discrepancies that may impact the normal progression of the flight.
  • Acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the intended route and destination aerodromes.
  • Participating actively in crew briefings, ensuring that both flight and weather briefings are conducted. This includes reviewing weather reports and evaluating the prevailing weather conditions.
  • Assessing and familiarizing oneself with all pertinent documentation and flight information.
  • Verifying the currency of required documentation and performing necessary revisions in collaboration with the Captain.
  • Reviewing the OFP and Air Traffic Services (ATS) documents prior to their official signing by the Captain.
  • Ensuring the completeness and availability of all essential flight documents on board the aircraft.
  • Collaborating with other flight crew members to support and supplement flight documentation, including the OFP and flight log.
  • Assisting the Captain in the meticulous completion and subsequent submission of all flight documents.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A valid International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) or General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
  • A current Type Rating for the Challenger 604/605/650 aircraft series.
  • A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
  • A minimum of 1000 flight hours of total experience on transport category aircraft, with specific experience on the type in accordance with CS-25 regulations.
  • English language proficiency at a minimum of Level 4.
