Position Summary

The Flight Attendant is responsible for the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers. This role ensures operations adhere to FAA regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, maintain composure in emergency situations, and uphold a high standard of professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure aircraft compliance with all FAA, safety, and security standards.
  • Perform in-flight safety demonstrations and provide clear passenger instructions.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including evacuations, medical assistance, and CPR/first aid.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service and assist passengers with special needs.
  • Prepare and serve meals and beverages.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and order of the cabin, galley, and lavatories.
  • Complete all required incident, safety, and service documentation.
  • Execute physical tasks: lift/stow luggage, operate aircraft doors (up to 60 lbs.), push/pull service carts (up to 32 lbs.), and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without accommodation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 23 years.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and a valid passport.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with the ability to travel internationally.
  • Fluent in English (bilingual skills are a plus).
  • Must pass a 10-year background check, criminal history review, fingerprinting, reference checks, and DOT drug screening.
  • Successful completion of the Contour four-week Flight Attendant Initial Training Program.
  • Ability to work variable schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and duty periods up to 16 hours.
  • Must reside within one hour of the assigned domicile.
  • Physical ability to lift 75 lbs. and perform frequent walking, bending, and reaching.

Benefits & Compensation

Contour offers a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits for full-time employees:

  • Salary: Starting at $34,000.00 annually, with growth potential to $42,500.00. A retention bonus of up to $2,000.00 per year is available once the maximum salary is reached.
  • Insurance: Health, vision, and dental insurance, plus short/long-term disability and voluntary life insurance.
  • Retirement: 401(k) Savings Plan with a company match up to 6%.
  • Leave: Paid sick leave (accrual of 56 hours/year) and vested vacation hours. Eligible for various leaves of absence, including medical, family, maternity/paternity, and personal leave.
  • Travel: NRSA travel privileges on Contour upon hire and MyID Travel access after six months.
