First Officer - Embraer Regional Jet (ERJ) 135/145 - Contour Airlines - Dulles, VA (IAD)
Contour Airlines, a well-established aviation services company, seeks a dedicated and safety-conscious First Officer to join its Flight Operations Department. This full-time position is based in Dulles, VA (IAD) and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a team that prioritizes safety, service, and integrity. The First Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and professional operation of Embraer Regional Jet 135/145 (ERJ) aircraft while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of flight operations.
- Adhere to schedules and directives governing the safe operation of the aircraft.
- Perform company-assigned duties in compliance with company manuals, memos, and policies.
- Conduct diligent preflight planning and prepare flight plans.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers.
- Ensure the aircraft is clean and well-prepared for flight, including necessary provisions for passenger safety and comfort.
- Adhere to the company's uniform policy.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Possess a current passport.
- Hold a Commercial, multi-engine land license, and instrument airplane rating.
- Possess a current first-class medical certificate (verified at the time of interview).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Proficiency in understanding, reading, and writing English.
- Ability to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check, reference check, national drivers record check, and no excessive check ride failures.
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and be willing to submit to and pass FAA and company-mandated random drug and alcohol tests.

- Hold an English Proficiency Endorsement (EPE).
- Be capable of working in stressful situations and under tight time constraints.
- Be a self-motivated team player.
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- No previous aviation-related accidents or incidents.
- Must have a residence that ensures the ability to report to work within 120 minutes of a dispatch call during an assigned duty period.
- Ability to work in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Time: 500 hours minimum / 1000 hours recommended
- Multi-Engine Time: 25 hours minimum / 100 hours recommended
Compensation:
The position offers a salary of $36,000.00 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package including:
