Position Overview: Director of Inflight Services
Contour, a premier aviation services company, is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Director of Inflight Services. This full-time, day-shift management position is based at the Contour Corporate Headquarters in Smyrna/Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination, operations, standards, and regulatory compliance of the Inflight Department, contributing to the organization's strategic growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Prioritize safety and ensure rigorous compliance with CFRs, FAA regulations, and company policies.

Collaborate with the Vice President of Inflight Services to develop budgets, manage resources, and ensure departmental goals are achieved.

Supervise and mentor staff, including performance appraisals, coaching, and talent development.

Lead candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring recommendations for the department.

Coordinate with cross-functional departments—including Airport Operations, Crew Scheduling, and Flight Operations—to enhance reliability and safety.

Participate in operational committees and represent the company in industry meetings.

Implement process improvements and innovative strategies to maximize the effectiveness of Inflight operations.

Manage special projects and address daily operational needs, including provisioning support.
Qualifications

Minimum age of 23 years.

At least five years of airline industry experience, with a minimum of one year serving as an active Flight Attendant or Flight Attendant Supervisor.

Proficiency in applying FAA regulations and guidance materials (e.g., 8900.1, SAFO, Cabin Safety Index).

Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, OneNote, Access) and Adobe Acrobat.

Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex, simultaneous projects.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring abilities.

Must possess a valid US passport and a valid US driver’s license with an excellent driving record.

Authorized to work in the United States with eligibility for international travel.

Ability to pass all required background checks, including a 10-year work history review, fingerprinting, and DOT/FAA-mandated drug and alcohol screenings.

Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel as required.
