About the Role
As an Aerial Firefighting Pilot with Conair, the incumbent will be responsible for operating specialized aircraft in dynamic aerial firefighting missions. This role demands precision and safety in challenging operational environments, both domestically and internationally. The position involves adherence to stringent safety protocols and participation in ongoing training programs.
Requirements

Canadian Citizenship or legal right to work in Canada.

Ability to secure necessary work visas for international assignments.

Valid Canadian Driver’s License.

Valid Canadian Passport.

Commitment to residing in Canada during the fire season.

Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.

Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.

At least 250 hours of flight experience in mountainous terrain.

Recent flying experience within the last 12 months.
Qualifications

Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) is preferred.

Commercial Pilot License (CPL) will be considered for applicants with extraordinary experience approaching ATPL qualifications.
Additional Qualifications (Specific Aircraft)

For seaplane positions: 500 hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation.

For tailwheel aircraft positions: 200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft.
