About the Role
As an Aerial Firefighting Pilot with Conair, individuals will operate specialized Conair aircraft on firefighting missions both domestically and internationally. Key responsibilities include ensuring safe, precise, and efficient flight operations in challenging environments, such as mountainous terrain. Participants will engage in regular training and strictly adhere to all safety and operational protocols, contributing to the company's mission of protecting communities from wildfires.
Requirements

Must be a Canadian Citizen or possess the legal right to work in Canada.

Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international firefighting assignments.

Possession of a valid Canadian Driver’s License and Passport.

Commitment to residing in Canada during the fire season.

Able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.

Minimum of 2,000 hours of total flight time.

Minimum of 1,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.

At least 250 hours of flight experience in mountainous terrain.

Recent flying experience within the last 12 months.
Qualifications

A valid Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) is preferred. Applicants holding a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) will be considered if their overall experience is extraordinary and closely aligns with ATPL requirements.
Additional Qualifications (Specific Aircraft)

For seaplane or tailwheel aircraft positions:

500 hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation, or

200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft.

A lack of seaplane or tailwheel experience will not prevent other applicants from being considered.
