Flight Attendant Job Description

As a proud partner of United Airlines, we operate a fleet of Embraer 145 XR aircraft across a robust network, connecting passengers globally. Position Summary
The Flight Attendant performs and assists with all inflight safety, customer service, and cabin preparation duties. As a critical member of our crew, the Flight Attendant maintains seamless communication and cooperation with flight and ground personnel to ensure the highest standards of operational excellence.
Essential Functions

Ensure all onboard safety standards are met and verify passenger compliance with FAA regulations and company policies.

Provide exceptional customer service while representing CommuteAir and our partner, United Airlines.

Complete all required checklists, documentation, and reporting as defined in the Flight Attendant Manual.

Maintain effective communication with pilots and ground crews to facilitate safe and efficient flight operations.

Demonstrate readiness to manage emergency situations at any time during flight operations.

Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual and Employee Handbook, as well as the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
General Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum age: 21 years.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Possession of a valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas, with the ability to travel freely to all CommuteAir destinations.

Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Satisfactory 10-year criminal background history.

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.

Compliance with company uniform and grooming standards (no visible tattoos or piercings, except in the ears).

Strong professionalism, mathematical proficiency, reading comprehension, and active listening skills.

Ability to evaluate information for effective problem-solving and decision-making.
Physical and Environmental Requirements

Must be capable of "Medium Work," exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. consistently.

Height requirement: 4'11" to 5'11" (without shoes) due to cabin limitations.

Ability to push and maneuver beverage carts weighing up to 250 lbs.

Capacity to reach, crouch, kneel, bend, and twist within confined spaces.

Ability to operate emergency equipment and exits, and function in high-noise environments.

Requirement to work in varied weather conditions (ranging from below 32°F to over 90°F) and fluctuating cabin atmospheres.

Visual acuity standard: Ability to perform detailed inspections, clerical tasks, and data analysis.
