CommuteAir is seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Flight Attendants. As a United Airlines partner operating a fleet of Embraer 145 XR aircraft, we prioritize safety, mentorship, and professional growth. We are looking for individuals committed to providing exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of operational safety.

Position Overview

The Flight Attendant performs or assists in the performance of all inflight safety, customer service, and cabin preparation duties. As a key member of the flight team, the successful candidate will communicate and cooperate with both flight and ground crews to ensure a safe and efficient passenger experience.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure all onboard safety standards are met and verify passenger compliance with FAA, company regulations, and policies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while representing CommuteAir and our codeshare partner, United Airlines.
  • Complete all required checklists, paperwork, and reports as outlined in the Flight Attendant Manual.
  • Communicate effectively with pilots and ground crews to facilitate safe flight operations.
  • Maintain readiness to manage emergency situations at all times during flight.
  • Adhere to company policies as defined in the Flight Attendant Manual and Employee Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

General Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possession of a valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs, with the ability to travel freely in and out of the U.S. to all cities served by CommuteAir without restriction.
  • Fluency in the English language (written and spoken).
  • Satisfactory 10-year background history, including criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to comply with company uniform and grooming standards (no visible tattoos or piercings, except in the ears).
  • Demonstrated professionalism, mathematics proficiency, reading comprehension, active listening, and strong verbal/written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. consistently to move objects.
  • Height: Due to cabin maximum height limits, candidates must be between 4'11" and 5'11" (measured without shoes).
  • Physical Dexterity: Able to push/control a beverage cart weighing up to 250 lbs.; able to reach, crouch, kneel, bend, and twist in confined spaces; able to operate emergency equipment and exits.
  • Auditory: Ability to hear clearly in loud environments.

Environmental Conditions & Visual Acuity

Employees will be exposed to varied weather conditions (from over 90 degrees to under 32 degrees), high noise levels requiring verbal projection, and atmospheric conditions that may cause cabin discomfort. Candidates must meet visual acuity standards for close inspection, administrative tasks, and analysis of data.
