Position Summary
The Lead Captain serves as a flight crewmember while acting as the primary liaison between the assigned account and Clay Lacy Aviation departments, including the Account Manager (ACM), Director of Maintenance (DOM), Director of Training, and Assistant Chief Pilot (ACP). The incumbent ensures regulatory compliance, manages flight and maintenance schedules, oversees crew performance, and maintains the company’s culture and operational ideals.

- Location: Northeast or South Florida (Must reside within a 2-hour drivable commuting distance to KPBI, KBED, or KTEB)
- Operation: Part 91/135
- Position Type: Full-time
- Compensation: $330,000 – $350,000
Key Responsibilities
Flight Operations & Crew Management
- Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) as designated.
- Ensure compliance with flight, maintenance, and duty time limitations.
- Monitor crew performance and facilitate annual reviews in coordination with the ACP.
- Manage crew schedules, vacation requests, and expense report approvals.
- Conduct currency reviews, training evaluations, and aircraft document audits.
Maintenance & Administrative Oversight
- Coordinate with the DOM and Maintenance Controller regarding scheduled/unscheduled events and AOG resolution.
- Review monthly billing summaries and maintenance work order invoices.
- Oversee aircraft inventory management to meet owner requirements.
- Liaison with Charter Departments and flight stakeholders to ensure seamless operational communication.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Certifications: ATP certificate, First Class Medical, and Falcon 900 EASy type rating required.
- Experience: Must meet minimum experience levels for assigned aircraft per company Operational Specifications, GOM, and FOM.
- Documentation: Valid and unexpired Passport and Driver's License.
- Compliance: Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Competencies: Strong customer relations, critical thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a collaborative team environment.
