Starting Pay Rate:
$25.75/hour
General Description:
Regular, full-time position working evenings and varying shifts as needed to accomplish agency goals and mission. Required to work during any natural or manmade disaster and/or emergency. This position requires on-call status and must be available nights, weekends, and holidays. This position includes the operation and maintenance of aircraft and related equipment.
Essential Functions:

Performance of aerial surveillance
-
Search and rescue operations
-
Assist the Patrol Division and other divisions with aerial support

Trains FLIR operator/observer in search and rescue patterns and techniques
-
Operates aircraft within FAA guidelines
-
Maintains logs and flight records
-
Organizes and participates in aviation missions
-
Enters routine, technical, and specialized data into a variety of computer programs
Qualifications:
-
Rotor-wing license and commercial rating required
-
Experience in an OH-58 (Bell 206) is preferred
-
Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Possess excellent skills in organization and computer applications
Requirements:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or resident alien

Must be a high school graduate or its equivalent
-
Must have the ability to think and act quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergency situations
-
Must not have tattoos on your hands, neck, or face
-
Must not have used, tried, experimented, or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance in the past 12 months
-
Must not have used, tried, experimented, or possessed ANY illegal controlled substance classified as a schedule I or II substance (excluding marijuana) in the last 5 years
-
Must successfully complete a background investigation including drug testing

Must successfully pass a flight test
