Job Title: Flight Instructor

Overview
The Flight Instructor provides industry-leading, learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers. Operating from the premier Cirrus Services Center in Knoxville, TN, the instructor utilizes iconic Cirrus Aircraft SR and SF model airplanes. The role follows a structured, proprietary syllabus to deliver streamlined, high-quality instruction. The Flight Instructor reports directly to the Flight Operations Supervisor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide expert flight and ground instruction in adherence to Cirrus policy and established safety procedures.

Conduct training events, assess pilot performance (psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains), and recommend students for FAA testing.

Maintain meticulous training records and communicate pilot progression effectively.

Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) for corporate flight operations, including demonstration, ferry, internal training, and post-maintenance flights.

Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections, including aircraft cleaning, fueling, and updating chart subscriptions.

Ensure the highest standards of safety and professional customer service.

Maintain deep subject matter expertise regarding the Cirrus Aircraft product line.
Qualifications

Experience:
Minimum of two years of pilot experience.

Flight Hours:
Minimum of 750 dual-given hours OR 500 hours in Cirrus aircraft.

Certifications:
Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane).

Pilot Requirements:
Valid FAA Pilot Certificate; Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land; Instrument Airplane rating.

Medical:
Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night operations.
