Job Overview: Flight Instructor
The Flight Instructor provides industry-leading, learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers. Operating at premier Cirrus Service Centers across the USA, the instructor delivers training in iconic Cirrus Aircraft SR model airplanes using a structured syllabus and proprietary course materials. The Flight Instructor reports to the Flight Operations Supervisor and serves as a model aviator and brand representative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high-quality flight and ground instruction in accordance with Cirrus policy and program requirements.

Act as Pilot in Command (PIC) for corporate flight operations, including demonstration, repositioning, post-maintenance, ferry, and internal training flights.

Assess student performance across psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains, providing customized instruction to meet individual needs.

Meticulously maintain pilot training records and recommend students for FAA practical and written examinations.

Perform essential pre-flight and post-flight duties, including inspections, aircraft cleaning, refueling, and updating chart subscriptions.

Adhere to all safety procedures, ensuring timely and accurate decision-making regarding flight safety.

Maintain continuous professional development regarding the Cirrus Aircraft product line.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of one year of pilot experience.

At least 350 hours of dual given, or 250 hours of dual given in Cirrus aircraft.

Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (Airplane Single Engine, Instrument Airplane).

FAA Pilot Certificate (Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land, Instrument Airplane).

Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.

Preferred experience: IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night operations.
