Overview
The Flight Instructor provides industry-leading, learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers. Using a structured syllabus and proprietary course materials, the instructor ensures a streamlined learning process. This role involves comprehensive pilot development, meticulous record-keeping, safety management, flight planning, and complex problem-solving. Beyond instruction, the Flight Instructor acts as Pilot in Command (PIC) for corporate flight operations, including demonstration flights, repositioning, post-maintenance flights, and proficiency checks.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Adhere to all industry and Cirrus safety procedures and policies.

Provide professional, high-quality ground and flight instruction consistent with company standards.

Make timely, accurate decisions to ensure flight safety.

Assess pilot performance across psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains.

Customize training events to meet individual student needs and recommend students for FAA written and practical tests.

Maintain accurate pilot training records and communicate effectively with students.

Perform aircraft inspections, cleaning, refueling, and general maintenance of chart subscriptions.

Act as PIC for corporate missions, ferry flights, and demonstration flights.

Maintain deep, current knowledge of the Cirrus Aircraft line and act as a model representative of the company.
Qualifications

Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI).

Commercial Pilot Certificate (Airplane Single Engine Land).

Instrument Airplane rating.
-
Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.

Minimum of 350 total instruction hours OR 250 Cirrus instruction hours.

Preferred experience: IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night operations.
