Job Summary:
This position, located in Duluth, MN, involves providing flight and ground instruction to Cirrus employees who are current flying club members. The role also includes assisting with the safety, recordkeeping, ramp operations, and fleet management functions of the Cirrus Flying Club. Responsibilities extend to acting as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft during corporate flight operations, demonstration flights, and ferry flights as needed. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse student types and personalities.
Essential Duties:

Representing corporate goals and safety standards by promoting Cirrus’ flying culture through flying club instruction.

Organizing and teaching private pilot, instrument, and commercial ground classes for Cirrus employees in accordance with Cirrus Aircraft policies and FAA regulations.

Enhancing flight safety through high-quality, standardized flight and ground instruction.

Developing effective methods for safety communication, recordkeeping, ramp operations, and fleet management for flying club functions.

Adjusting teaching methods to maximize the value and effectiveness of training opportunities, working collaboratively with all levels of Cirrus employees.

Maintaining communication with students before and after training.

Escalating customer and internal pilot issues to the Lead Flight Instructor.

Assisting with company standardization flights to ensure compliance with company standards.

Providing flight and ground instruction per established Cirrus policies and procedures.

Operating Cirrus aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies.

Making timely and accurate decisions regarding flight safety.

Managing travel expenses in accordance with company policies.
-
Providing excellent and professional customer service.

Acting as pilot in command for corporate flight missions, ferry flights, internal training flights, and demonstration flights.

Conducting factory tours for customers during delivery and training processes.

Maintaining comprehensive aircraft knowledge and serving as a model aviator, flight instructor, and Cirrus representative.

Performing pre-flight and post-flight inspections, including cleaning, fueling, adding de-ice fluid, and updating chart subscriptions.

Safely and efficiently moving aircraft on the Cirrus ramp using the flight operations tug.
Qualifications:
-
Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate.

Current FAA Pilot Certificate: Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land.

Instrument Airplane rating.
-
Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.
-
150 total instruction hours or graduation from a Cirrus approved flight training school.

Experience in IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night operations is preferred.
