Job Summary
The Flight Instructor is responsible for providing exceptional, learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers. This role operates at premier Cirrus Services Centers across the USA, utilizing iconic Cirrus Aircraft SR model airplanes. Training is delivered through a structured syllabus with proprietary course materials designed for an optimized learning experience. The Flight Instructor may serve as Pilot in Command (PIC) for corporate flight operations under 14 CFR Part 91, including demonstration, repositioning, and post-maintenance flights, as well as conducting flight reviews, proficiency checks, and other related pilot and flight instructor duties. This position reports to the Flight Operations Supervisor. Ancillary responsibilities include identifying pilot progression opportunities, meticulous record keeping, safety management, comprehensive flight planning and preparation, lesson planning, complex problem-solving, maintaining subject matter expertise, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to all industry and Cirrus established safety procedures and policies.
- Provide exemplary and professional customer service throughout all interactions.
- Make timely and accurate safety-of-flight decisions.
- Conduct training events in accordance with program guidance and requirements.
- Deliver flight and ground instruction adhering to the standards defined in Cirrus policy and procedure documents.
- Meticulously record all training event activities and outcomes in pilot training records.
- Recommend students for FAA written and practical tests upon successful completion of training.
- Assess pilot performance across psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains for each training event.
- Identify and implement opportunities to customize training events to meet individual student needs.
- Act as Pilot in Command of Cirrus aircraft for corporate flight missions, ferry flights, internal training, and demonstration flights.
- Perform thorough pre-flight and post-flight inspections, including cleaning, fueling, adding oil and de-ice fluid, and updating chart subscriptions.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest developments in the Cirrus Aircraft product line.
- Maintain a deep understanding of aircraft knowledge and serve as a role model aviator, flight instructor, and Cirrus representative.
- Maintain effective communication with students both pre- and post-training.
- Enhance flight safety by delivering high-quality, standardized flight and ground instruction.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Minimum of one year of pilot experience required.
- Minimum of 350 dual given hours, or 250 dual given hours specifically in Cirrus aircraft.
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate:
- Airplane Single Engine
- Instrument Airplane
- Hold a current FAA Pilot Certificate:
- Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land
- Instrument Airplane
- Hold a current Second-Class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.
- Preferred experience includes IFR in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night operations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
