Flight Instructor - Cirrus Aircraft
Overview
Cirrus Aircraft seeks a highly motivated and experienced Flight Instructor to join its team in Scottsdale, Arizona. The successful candidate will provide industry-leading, learner-centric flight training to Cirrus customers, adhering to a structured syllabus and utilizing proprietary course materials.
Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional and professional flight training to Cirrus customers using a structured syllabus and proprietary materials.
- Identifying and communicating pilot progression and opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate training records and recommending students for FAA written and practical tests.
- Assessing pilot performance in the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains.
- Customizing training events to meet individual student needs.
- Acting as pilot in command of Cirrus aircraft during corporate flight missions, ferry flights, internal training flights, and demonstration flights.
- Performing pre-flight and post-flight inspections, including cleaning, fueling, and de-icing.
- Maintaining a deep level of aircraft knowledge and continuously learning about the latest developments in Cirrus Aircraft products.
- Maintaining communication with students before and after training.
- Adhering to all industry and Cirrus established safety procedures and policies.
- Making timely and accurate decisions regarding safety of flight.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane ratings.
- Hold FAA Pilot Certificate with Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings.
- Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.
- Experience in IFR operations in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night flying is preferred.
- Minimum of 350 total instruction hours or 250 Cirrus instruction hours required.

Work Schedule
Tuesday-Saturday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
