Flight Instructor - Cirrus Flying Club
Cirrus Aircraft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Flight Instructor to join our dynamic team in Duluth, Minnesota. As a Flight Instructor, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of aviation excellence within our thriving Cirrus Flying Club.
Responsibilities:
- Flight and Ground Instruction: Provide comprehensive flight and ground instruction to Cirrus employees who are members of the Flying Club. Instruction will cover a variety of disciplines, including private pilot, instrument, and commercial ground training.
- Safety and Operations: Play a crucial role in maintaining the highest safety standards for the Flying Club, contributing to safe and efficient ramp operations and fleet management.
- Flight Operations: Act as Pilot in Command for Cirrus aircraft during 14 CFR Part 91 corporate flight operations, including demonstration flights, ferry flights, and internal training flights.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, fostering a positive and engaging experience for both employees and external customers.
- Instructional Excellence: Adapt teaching methods to cater to a diverse range of student personalities and learning styles, maximizing the effectiveness of each training opportunity.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with students before, during, and after training. Collaborate with the Lead Flight Instructor to address any customer or internal pilot issues.
- Company Standardization: Contribute to maintaining company standardization by participating in flights to ensure consistent adherence to Cirrus standards.
- Aircraft Expertise: Possess a thorough understanding of Cirrus aircraft, acting as a model aviator and Cirrus representative.
- Ramp Operations: Efficiently move aircraft on the Cirrus ramp using the designated flight operations tug.
Qualifications:
- Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane Single Engine and Instrument Airplane ratings.
- Valid FAA Pilot Certificate with Commercial Airplane Single Engine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings.
- Current Second-class Airman Medical Certificate or higher.
- Minimum of 150 total instruction hours or graduation from a Cirrus-approved flight training school.
- Preferred experience: IFR flying in congested airspace, mountain flying, extensive IMC, international flight, and night flying.
