Caribbean Airlines is actively seeking skilled and experienced aviation professionals to join the airline as Captains for the ATR fleet on a contract basis. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ATR aircraft, upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, ATR, the Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the ATR aircraft in strict accordance with the Company’s Operating Manuals. The incumbent is also tasked with implementing all reasonably possible economies on each assigned flight. This engagement is for a fixed term, on a contract basis.
Contract Captain Eligibility Requirements:
- Must hold a valid and current Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the TTCAA or an ICAO contracting state.
- Requires a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (ICAO Class 1).
- Possession of a valid Proficiency Check is mandatory.
- Must have a valid English proficiency endorsement.
- Requires a minimum of 3000 flight hours, including 1000 hours as Pilot in Command (P1) or Pilot in Command Under Supervision (P1 U/S) on a multi-engine, multi-crew turboprop or Jet aircraft.
- Flight times must be verifiable through endorsements in the Pilot Personal Logbook, validated by the license-issuing state or the previous operator.
- A degree in Airline/Airport Management, Aerospace Technology, or Aeronautical Science is considered an asset.
- Must hold a valid Instrument Rating.
- Successful completion of a Caribbean Airlines' Medical Examination is required.
- Must achieve a satisfactory assessment by the Caribbean Airlines' pilot selection board, including demonstration of English fluency for ATC communication.
- Successful completion of a Security background check is required.
- Must successfully complete the Company’s training and Proficiency Checks.
- Must obtain a valid medical assessment in accordance with the requirements of the TTCAA, with validity not exceeding twelve (12) months.

- Evidence of holding a current ICAO Class 1 Medical.
- Evidence of holding an ICAO ATPL.
- Evidence of holding a current TTCAA or ECCAA-issued Airline Transport Pilot’s License, OR a current Airline Transport Pilots License issued by the FAA or another Aviation Authority (any aircraft type).
- Evidence of the last recurrent check, which must not exceed six months prior to application.
- Photograph of the last page of the Pilot Logbook showing endorsements.
- Photograph of the Bio Page of the Passport.
- Attachment of a full resume detailing total flight times, previous employers, and education.
The successful candidate will possess a strong customer service orientation, demonstrate the ability to work independently within clearly defined guidelines and standard operating procedures, and exhibit excellent communication, risk management, and problem-solving skills.
