Cargojet, Canada's premier overnight all-cargo airline, is seeking an experienced Captain to operate its B767/B757 fleet for its North American network. Based in Hamilton, Ontario, this full-time, salaried Pilot-in-Command role ensures the safe operation of the aircraft and all onboard.
The Captain is ultimately responsible for the safe operation of the aircraft and all individuals aboard. This includes determining who manipulates the flight controls per company policy, thoroughly reviewing flight plans and operational data prior to departure, and ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are onboard. The Captain verifies aircraft airworthiness, load distribution, weight compliance, and the fitness and briefing of the flight crew. During flight, adherence to all regulations, the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational limitations is paramount. Continuous communication with Dispatch and monitoring of fuel burn are critical. Post-flight duties include reporting defects, completing required logs and documents, securing the aircraft, debriefing the crew, and handling all necessary notifications and reporting requirements.
