Aviation Operations Professional
Cargojet is seeking a highly motivated and experienced aviation professional to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Pilot in overseeing all aspects of pilot personnel management and flight operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to the Chief Pilot in managing pilot personnel, including hiring, performance evaluations, attendance, leave requests, and other related matters.
- Facilitate effective communication channels between flight crew and management, ensuring timely dissemination of information and fostering a positive work environment.
- Champion a strong safety culture within flight operations by promoting adherence to procedures and best practices.
- Proactively manage flight delays, including investigation, reporting, and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Actively participate in daily operations meetings, addressing and following up on flight operations issues.
- Assume responsibility for day-to-day management of pilot personnel matters in the Chief Pilot's absence.
- Evaluate the operational suitability and requirements of airfields and routes served by Cargojet.
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures for Cargojet aircraft.
- Uphold all Safety Management System (SMS) duties and responsibilities as outlined in company policy and the Cargojet SMS Program Manual.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (aeroplanes), a valid Group I Instrument Rating, and a type rating for at least one aircraft type operated by Cargojet.
- A minimum of 500 hours of commercial flight experience as Pilot-in-Command on aircraft exceeding 100,000 lbs Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) in international operations.
- Current qualification for line flying as Pilot-in-Command on an aircraft type operated by Cargojet.
