About Our Pilot Community

Cargolux seeks highly motivated and skilled aviators to join its international pilot community. Cargolux crew members are characterized by their dedication, team-oriented approach, and unwavering commitment to quality service and robust airmanship. Prospective pilots are invited to contribute to a long-standing airline renowned for its operational excellence, flying the Boeing 747 across a global network spanning over 70 destinations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of an EASA Part FCL ATPL or CPL/IR with ATPL theory (Frozen ATPL), or an MPL.
  • Valid EASA Part Medical Class 1 certificate.
  • A minimum of 1500 flight hours in multi-pilot, multi-engine operations on jet aircraft, or on turboprop aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 10 tons, or a seating capacity above 19 seats.
  • Candidates who meet the flight hour requirements and have accumulated 1500 hours on widebody aircraft will be considered for Senior First Officer roles.

Essential Requirements for Applicants

  • Demonstrated outstanding flying abilities and adherence to impeccable safety standards.
  • Proven ability to integrate effectively within a multicultural and diverse work environment.
  • Completion of second-level education (e.g., Baccalauréat, Abitur, A-Level Exam, Matura, Fachhochschulreife).
  • Authorization to live and work within the European Union.
  • Minimum ICAO English language proficiency level 4, with a preference for level 6.
  • Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive background security check and a pre-employment medical examination.
  • Unrestricted rights and eligibility for international travel.
  • Agreement to transfer an existing pilot license to a Luxembourg-issued EASA license.
