Lufthansa Aviation Training Operations Germany GmbH is seeking experienced Type Rating Instructors (TRIs) or Synthetic Flight Instructors (SFIs) for part-time roles at their Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, and Vienna locations. The position involves providing theoretical and practical flight training using full-flight simulators for various aircraft types, with a focus on a path to becoming a Synthetic Flight Instructor for the Q400 aircraft.
About the Role
Lufthansa Aviation Training Operations Germany GmbH, a leading European Approved Training Organisation (ATO), is expanding its instructor team. This role offers a challenging opportunity to train pilots from around the world on state-of-the-art full-flight simulators. The position is part-time, with an initial fixed term of 18 months, and offers a pathway for further qualification.
Responsibilities

Conducting theoretical and practical training in accordance with LAT OPS DE training standards.

Preparing and managing training requirements to meet customer needs.

Creating and continuously developing training materials.
Requirements

Extensive experience as an instructor within flight operations or training organizations.

EASA ATPL (as TRI) or proof of a previously acquired, potentially expired, Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA) type rating (as SFI).

A valid MPA type rating including a current TRI rating on ATR42/72 (as TRI) or a valid SFI certificate for ATR42/72.

A valid Class 1 medical certificate (as TRI) or occupational medical fitness (as SFI, arranged by LAT).

Minimum ICAO English Level 4.

At least 500 hours of instructional experience in Full-Synthetic Flight Devices (FSTDs) or aircraft.

Demonstrated experience in a training environment (airline or training organization).

Proficient in MS Office applications.

Strong social and didactic skills, team player mentality, and customer focus.

Willingness to travel.

Willingness to undergo qualification for an additional aircraft type.

Willingness to potentially increase working hours to 80% during the qualification phase (approximately 3 months).
