Fixed Wing Pilot - King Air C90
Position Overview
REACH Air is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Fixed Wing Pilot to join its team in Crescent City, California. This full-time, onsite position involves providing essential medical air transportation services, operating the King Air C90 aircraft. The role is structured around a 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour shift schedule, ensuring continuous operational coverage for day and night missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients and medical teams to and from various locations and facilities in collaboration with medical professionals.
- Ensure the King Air C90 aircraft is maintained in a state of readiness for all dispatches, adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and company standards, including maintaining aircraft cleanliness.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate company and regulatory documentation, including flight logs and load manifests.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with air and ground dispatch, fellow flight crews, medical facilities, and operational partners.
- Provide comprehensive shift change information to the incoming pilot and team, strictly following protocols for recording company change board details.
- Uphold all required certifications and actively participate in ongoing ground and air training to maintain proficiency and compliance.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Required: Commercial Airplane Multi Engine Land (C-AMEL) certification.
- Commitment to obtaining an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate within five years of employment.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned.
- Willingness to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Potential involvement in aircraft de-icing, towing, hangar maneuvering, and pre-flight preparation.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, balance, sit, crouch, kneel, or crawl unassisted for extended periods.
- Capability to assist with patient loading, and lift/move up to 150 pounds cumulatively with assistance.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Valid and unexpired driver's license.
- Current FAA First or Second Medical Certificate.
- Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours.
- Minimum of 1,000 Pilot In Command (PIC) hours.
- Minimum of 500 cross-country flight hours.
- Minimum of 500 multi-engine flight hours.
- Minimum of 100 night flight hours.
- Minimum of 75 instrument flight hours (50 actual instrument hours).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in single-pilot IFR operations.
- Prior medevac or cargo operational experience is highly advantageous.
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Compensation and Incentives
- Annual Salary Range: $111,588.14 - $122,748.06
- Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (upon successful completion of training and check ride).
- Retention Bonus: $40,000 (subject to a 6-month waiting period and participation in a 3-year program).
- No Training Contract required.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000.
- Company-paid crew housing provided.
