Position Overview

REACH Air is actively recruiting a highly skilled and dedicated Fixed Wing Pilot to operate its King Air C90 aircraft. This critical role involves providing essential medical air transportation services. The pilot will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transport of patients, adhering to the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The established schedule involves 12-hour shifts with a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation.

Compensation and Incentives

This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $111,588.14 - $122,748.06. Additional incentives include:

  • A $15,000 Sign-On Bonus, contingent upon successful completion of training and check ride.
  • A $40,000 Retention Bonus, available after a 6-month waiting period as part of a 3-year program.
  • No training contract required.
  • Up to $5,000 in Relocation Assistance to facilitate the move.
  • Company-paid crew housing provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and professionally pilot the King Air C90 aircraft for medical air transportation missions.
  • Collaborate effectively with a team of medical experts to ensure seamless patient transport.
  • Maintain aircraft readiness for all flight dispatches in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company protocols.
  • Perform aircraft cleanliness duties to ensure a safe and presentable environment.
  • Accurately maintain all required company and regulatory documentation, including flight logs and load manifests.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with air and ground dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and external partners.
  • Provide comprehensive shift change information to transitioning pilots and team members, adhering to company protocols.
  • Uphold required certifications and actively participate in ongoing ground and air training.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Commercial Airplane Multi-Engine Land (C-AMEL) certificate is mandatory.
  • Must demonstrate a willingness and ability to obtain an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate within five years of employment.
  • Previous single-pilot IFR experience is highly desirable.
  • Prior medevac and/or cargo experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid and unexpired driver's license.
  • Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate.
  • Minimum of 2,500 total flight hours.
  • Minimum of 1,000 Pilot in Command (PIC) hours.
  • Minimum of 500 Cross Country flight hours.
  • Minimum of 500 multi-engine flight hours.
  • Minimum of 100 night flight hours.
  • Minimum of 75 instrument flight hours (with at least 50 actual instrument hours).

Preferred Education

A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is desired.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions. Pilots must be available for assigned night, day, and overnight shifts. Responsibilities may include aircraft de-icing, assisting with aircraft towing, hangar maneuvering, and pre-flight preparation.

Physical Demands

Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, climbing, bending, balancing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, or crawling unassisted for extended periods. Assistance may be required for patient loading, and the ability to lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulatively with assistance is necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
