Cakum Global is actively seeking experienced ATR72 Aircraft Captains for a regional airline operation based in Papua New Guinea. This opportunity involves operating modern ATR72 aircraft within a challenging yet rewarding operational environment, based out of Port Moresby.
About the Role

Command modern ATR72 aircraft across domestic and regional routes within Papua New Guinea's unique and demanding flying environments.

Maintain the highest standards of flight safety, regulatory compliance, and operational discipline.

Operate within a multi-crew airline environment in line with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and civil aviation regulatory requirements.

Support safe and efficient operations in remote and challenging environments.

The position operates on a Fly-In/Fly-Out (FIFO) roster arrangement, typically 6 weeks on / 6 weeks off.

Requirements

Applicants must possess strong technical capability, professionalism, and a safety-first mindset.

Previous command experience in airline (Part 121) operations is essential.

Strong multi-crew airline operations background.

Demonstrable strong Crew Resource Management (CRM), operational discipline, and a robust safety culture.

Resilience, adaptability, and capability to operate effectively in developing environments.
Qualifications

Current or previous ATR72 command experience is strongly preferred.

Approximately 1,500+ hours ATR type experience is preferred for ATR72 Captains.

Modern turboprop airline experience is highly regarded, including types such as ATR, Dash 8 / Q400, EMB-120, or similar regional aircraft.

Current ICAO English proficiency is required.

ATR training, checking, or examiner experience is highly regarded.
