Job Summary
Cakum Global seeks experienced ATR72 Aircraft Captains for a regional airline operation based in Papua New Guinea. This role involves operating modern ATR72 aircraft in a demanding flying environment, emphasizing strong technical capability, professionalism, and a safety-first mindset.
About the Role
- Operate ATR72 aircraft on domestic and regional routes within Papua New Guinea.
- Uphold the highest standards of flight safety, compliance, and operational discipline.
- Function within a multi-crew airline environment, adhering to company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to safe and efficient operations in remote and challenging environments.
- Enjoy a FIFO roster (6 weeks on / 6 weeks off).
- Long-term contract opportunities are available.
Requirements
- Approximately 1,500+ hours of ATR type experience is preferred.
- Previous command experience in airline / Part 121 operations is required for Captain roles.
- ATR training, checking, or examiner experience is highly regarded for Instructor/Examiner Pilot positions.
Qualifications
- Current or previous ATR72 command experience is strongly preferred.
- Modern turboprop airline experience is highly regarded, including but not limited to:
- ATR
- Dash 8 / Q400
- EMB-120 or similar regional aircraft
- A strong multi-crew airline operations background is essential.
- ICAO English proficiency is required.
- Demonstrated strong CRM, operational discipline, and a commitment to safety culture.
- The ability to be resilient, adaptable, and capable of operating in developing environments.
