Captain, Pilot in Command (PIC) – CE-208 Caravan (FAR 135 Operations)

Role Summary

The Captain, serving as Pilot in Command (PIC) of the CE-208 aircraft, holds the definitive authority and responsibility for all assigned flight operations. This critical position ensures the highest standards of safety and efficiency, operating strictly in accordance with regulatory mandates and company policy.

Key Responsibilities

The Pilot in Command is responsible for the following:

  • Exercising ultimate command authority and comprehensive command responsibility throughout the duration of the assigned flight sequence.
  • Conducting meticulous preflight planning, briefing, and preparation procedures.
  • Managing the safe and proficient operation of the flight in continuous compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) Part 135.
  • Adhering strictly to all established Operations Specifications and company standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Prospective candidates must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Possession of all necessary and appropriate FAA licensures, certifications, and flight hours required to serve competently as Captain of a CE-208 aircraft.
  • Minimum Total Flight Time: 1,200 hours.
  • Minimum Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 800 hours.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain regulatory compliance and exercise superior aeronautical decision-making.
  • Must maintain primary residency within 45 miles of the assigned operational airport base.
