SAAB 2000 Instructor Pilot at CAE
CAE is seeking a SAAB 2000 Instructor Pilot to deliver world-class simulator and ground school instruction at their facility. This role is pivotal in developing highly skilled pilots, ensuring safety, compliance, professionalism, and exceptional customer service throughout the training journey.
About the Role

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE curriculum, and customer requirements.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) guiding clients through all phases of their training.

Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

Conduct thorough, professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Complete required administrative tasks, including training records, remedial training recommendations, and monitoring instructor qualifications.

Support curriculum and courseware development as an SME when required.

Participate in training programs that may include international travel and extended stays.

Uphold a professional, welcoming learning environment and tailor training to diverse customers.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with CAE and FAA requirements.
Requirements

High School diploma or state-issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).

3,000+ hours of total flight time.

2–5 years of job-relevant experience.

Previous teaching or training experience preferred.

Strong customer service orientation.

Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Ability to participate in CAE’s DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Hold an unrestricted ATP certificate and one unrestricted PIC type rating.

Excellent fluency in English (spoken and written).

Strong listening and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Existing instructor qualification or type rating.

FAR Part 135 experience.

SAAB 2000 Type Rating.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to deliver exceptional customer service.

Ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs.

Keen attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills.

Previous experience as a 142 Instructor and/or Training Center Evaluator.

Experience flying business aircraft is a plus.
