Air Traffic Services Pseudo Pilot - On Call (Fixed Term)
CAE, the world's largest aviation training provider, is expanding its air traffic services division with a first-of-its-kind partnership. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Air Traffic Services Pseudo Pilot at our new purpose-built Air Traffic Services Training Center in Montreal.
In this role, you will play a vital part in providing realistic and effective training scenarios for aspiring air traffic controllers. As a Pseudo Pilot, your responsibilities include:
Simulation Support
- Operating aircraft simulations in accordance with provided scenarios and instructions.
- Engaging with students to simulate real-world pilot behaviors and communication.
- Providing accurate pilot inputs and responses to enhance air traffic control training.
Communication and Documentation
- Communicating effectively with students and instructors using precise aviation language.
- Documenting and reporting on simulation sessions, identifying any areas for improvement.
Collaboration
- Working closely with instructors to tailor simulation scenarios that meet specific training objectives.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and French, with a strong command of aviation terminology in both languages.
- Proficiency in aviation language and procedures.
- Experience or training in aviation is highly desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to realism in simulation scenarios.
- Previous experience in a simulation or training environment is a plus but not required.
- A passion for aviation and a desire to contribute to the development of future air traffic professionals.
