CAE is seeking a highly skilled and experienced King Air/C-12 Multi-Engine Instructor Pilot to join its Defense & Security team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive student pilot training for the C-12U aircraft and associated training devices, primarily supporting the U.S. Army Fixed Wing Program.
About the Role

Deliver flight, classroom, simulator, and practical instruction on C-12U Aircraft Systems and Operational Procedures.

Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the development of new courseware and curricula.

Perform additional administrative duties including courseware review, publications, safety, quality audits, FCIF, and scheduling.

Ensure the maintenance of a safe and secure training environment.

Actively participate in the Quality Management System and safety programs, ensuring compliance with external standards such as AR 95-20, AR 95-1, and FAA Part 141 Formal School requirements.

Support standardization, evaluation, and examiner plans, including scheduling and tracking of audits and deficiencies.

Collaborate with program, customer, and CAE staff to proactively identify and address quality assurance issues and drive process improvements.

Conduct all operations in strict adherence to corporate policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
Requirements

A minimum of six years of total flying experience.

At least 1000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).

A minimum of 500 hours as a Flight Instructor, including 250 hours instructing in multi-engine airplanes.

Hold a current FAA Commercial Pilot certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Airplane ratings.

Possess a current FAA Certificated Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate with Multi-Engine (CFI-ME) and Instrument (CFII) ratings, or ability to obtain through military competency process.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA Class II Flight Medical Clearance.

Must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Willingness to work any shift or day of the week as required.

Ability to undertake domestic and international travel as required.

Capable of navigating aircraft/simulator cockpits, which may include walking, climbing stairs/ladders, stooping, bending, and crawling.
Qualifications

Previous Instructor Pilot experience with the US Army, USAF, USN, or USMC is highly preferred.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Demonstrated strong instructional project skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Excellent oral presentation skills for classroom and simulator environments.

Ability to work effectively independently with minimal supervision.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
