The KC-135 Instructor Pilot will provide aircraft systems and operational procedures instruction in classroom, simulator, and practical environments. The successful candidate will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for curriculum development and courseware review, while providing administrative support for training programs, quality audits, and safety initiatives.
This role requires the ability to stand and conduct instruction for up to six hours daily. The incumbent must be physically capable of entering simulators, experiencing motion, and safely managing student attendees. Duties include walking, climbing ladders/stairs, stooping, bending, and crawling. The role involves occasional exposure to extreme heat, loud noises, and mechanical/electrical hazards. Periodic domestic and international travel is required, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, is mandatory.
Candidates must possess advanced reading, analysis, and interpretation skills for complex documentation. Proficiency in mathematical calculations, including percentages and graph interpretation, is required. The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is essential for success in this role.
