Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to join our team, delivering high-quality flight simulator and ground school training. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through training experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and instructional excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive simulator and classroom instruction for various aircraft types, including licenses, type ratings, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

Conduct professional pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in alignment with CAE standards.

Maintain accurate training records, track instructional qualifications, and recommend remedial training as necessary.

Serve as a subject matter expert in the development and maintenance of training curricula and courseware.

Provide a customer-focused, professional, and welcoming learning environment.

Following approximately 1.5 years of service, designated instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman, subject to business requirements.
Minimum Qualifications

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an unrestricted ATP certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.

Demonstrated passion for instruction supported by excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.

Participation in the CAE DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Legal authorization to live and work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in business aviation and single-pilot operations.

Prior instructional or training experience.

Demonstrated ability to tailor instruction to a diverse, global customer base.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with CAE and FAA requirements.
Physical Requirements
-
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination suitable for instructional tasks.

Ability to sit in a confined space for 4–6 hours at a time.

Ability to stand for up to 10 hours with limited breaks.

Capability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as required for simulator operation.
