Position Overview: Civil Global Instructor Development and Training (IDT)
CAE is seeking a dedicated professional to manage the consistent delivery and governance of Civil Global IDT programs. This role ensures alignment with global standards, regulatory obligations, and organizational training requirements. The successful candidate will drive excellence in instructor development by mentoring staff, optimizing digital courseware, and leveraging performance metrics to foster continuous improvement in training outcomes.
Critical Responsibilities

Deliver and support Civil Global IDT activities, acting as an Instructor Trainer, Mentor, or Coach to promote instructional excellence.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of instructor-facing courseware, ensuring adherence to approved management processes and digital optimization.

Collaborate with Operations, Training Managers, and global leadership to forecast instructor training needs, manage onboarding pipelines, and ensure effective resource utilization.

Apply and monitor performance metrics (OKRs and KPIs) to identify trends, mitigate risks, and enhance training efficiency.

Model CAE’s competency-based teaching philosophy, providing constructive feedback and reinforcing standardized assessment practices during training events.

Maintain global standardization through clear communication and coordination across centers.
Qualifications and Education

Must hold or have previously held an ICAO ATPL or CPL license.

Must hold or have previously held an FAA instructor certificate, a Part FCL instructor certificate issued by an EASA member state, or an equivalent 900(c) qualification relevant to the training domain.

Multi-domain experience (e.g., BAT, CAT, FTO) is preferred to support diverse business units.
Skills and Experience

Minimum of three years of experience delivering or managing instructor training within an ATO, AOC, or global training organization.

Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including EASA Part FCL/ORA and FAA Parts 61/135/142.

Extensive experience with instructor-development programs, adult learning principles, and competency-based training & assessment (CBTA/EBT).

High proficiency in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and virtual learning facilitation tools.

Proven ability to develop instructor-facing courseware, including lesson plans and assessment tools, and manage the courseware lifecycle.

Strong leadership, coaching, and cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Strong analytical capability, including the ability to interpret performance metrics and data trends.

Experience in instructor onboarding pathways, conducting observations, and providing evaluations using competency frameworks.

Prior experience coordinating multi-center or global training initiatives is considered an asset.
