Job Description
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction for classroom and flight simulator training activities specific to the King Air series.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct ground and flight simulator training for Simcom by CAE customers.
- Evaluate customer progress in skill and knowledge acquisition against Simcom by CAE established standards.
- Maintain required competency and instructional qualifications.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Demonstrate competent and confident instructional knowledge within a dynamic learning environment, meeting customer expectations for expertise.
- Exhibit the ability to learn new skills that directly enhance product value.
- Effectively assess customer training needs and proficiently coach and instruct.
- Employ creative and innovative teaching methodologies to cater to individual customer requirements.
- Attain applicable ratings and qualifications in an economical and timely manner.
- A current Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate with Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings is mandatory for full-time employment. Any loss of certificate privileges may result in permanent dismissal.
- Simcom by CAE operates training at the Lee Vista facility during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional scheduling for weekend training (Saturday and Sunday) may be necessary.
- As the primary point of contact with customers, the instructor significantly shapes their experience at Simcom by CAE. This necessitates the ability to assess client needs and make timely, effective decisions aligned with Simcom by CAE's Mission and Strategy guidelines.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, Prior Work Experience, and Specialized Skills:
- Required: CFI/II/MEI instructional experience.
- Required: 1000 hours of dual instruction given.
- Required: Actual King Air flight experience (300/350 series, 200 series, and/or 90 series).
- Highly Preferred: FAA ATP certification.
- Highly Preferred: FAA medical certification.
