MQ-9B Instructor (Pilot/Sensor Operator/Mission Intelligence Coordinator)

CAE invites expressions of interest from highly skilled and experienced professionals to join its esteemed team as MQ-9B Instructors. This represents a unique opportunity to contribute to advanced aviation training within a leading global organization, shaping the capabilities of future operators.

The Role

CAE is seeking experienced Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) pilots, sensor operators, and mission intelligence coordinators. Successful candidates will assume the critical responsibility of delivering comprehensive basic, advanced, and instructor training for the MQ-9B platform. This encompasses instruction utilizing sophisticated synthetic devices and familiarisation with cutting-edge courseware. The role demands a profound expertise in MQ-9 or similar type aircraft operations, ensuring the highest standards of instruction and operational readiness.

Location and Schedule

These vital positions are based at RAF Waddington, Lincolnshire, a pivotal hub for aviation operations. The roles are scheduled to commence in January 2026. Instructors will operate on an average working week of 40 hours, with a standard training day observed from 08:00 to 17:00.

Training and Development

To ensure instructors are fully equipped for their pivotal role, CAE will provide comprehensive basic, advanced, and instructor training. This includes in-depth familiarisation with synthetic devices and advanced courseware, fostering continuous professional development within a dynamic training environment.
