Joint Tactical Operations (JTO) Interface Training Program Professional
CAE Defense & Security seeks a qualified professional to support the Joint Interface Division's (JID) responsibilities as the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) proponent for the Joint Tactical Operations (JTO) Interface Training Program. This role is critical in ensuring operational forces effectively utilize JTO Interface Systems, covering planning, development, coordination, and management of the JTO training program. The position involves courseware development, worldwide formal academic training, and joint exercise support for joint, allied, and coalition air and ground forces employing JTO Interface capabilities. The program annually conducts numerous Joint/U.S. and Allied Training Courses globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, instruct, and maintain JID course curriculum and materials.
- Liaise with operational Combatant Commander staffs for exercise planning and preparation.
- Prepare or review OPTASK LINK messages for JTO exercises.
- Assist in selecting, modifying, or requesting Link 16 networks for JTO exercises.
- Analyze multi-TDL architecture performance and recommend changes.
- Coordinate with development and acquisition agencies for procurement and evaluation of JICO automated tools.
- Maintain configuration management of JICO automated tools.
- Operate the Link 16 Pulse Deconfliction Server (LPDS) and assist users with Frequency Clearance and Time Slot Duty Factor (TSDF) issues.
- Represent JID at joint and combined interoperability working groups.
- Manage course planning and administration, including scheduling, hands-on field training coordination, student briefs, handouts, administrative documents, and student notification.
- Perform curriculum reviews, courseware development, and multimedia enhancements, particularly in electronic classrooms.
- Support worldwide deployed mobile training team requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience.
- Four years of JICO experience or a combination of JICO and/or other directly related experience (e.g., Air Battle Manager/Air Weapons Officer/Intercept Control Officer).
- Ability to obtain and maintain JICO Instructor qualifications if not previously held.
- Multi-TDL experience or training.
- Military instructor experience.
- Former Field Grade Military Officer, Warrant Officer, or Senior Non-Commissioned Officer.
- Capability for worldwide deployment supporting Mobile Training Teams, often under field conditions.
- Current Secret security clearance required.
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
- Highly Desired:
- Experience with Variable Message Format over Combat Net Radio (VMF over CNR) and/or Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS).
- ISD or curriculum development experience.
