CAE is seeking an Instructor Pilot E-3A to join its team in Geilenkirchen, Germany (near Aachen). The Instructor Pilot will operate Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and associated systems, providing expertise for effective and efficient use of FSTD capabilities. The Instructor Pilot will support military instructors, instruct students in checklist procedures and basic system knowledge, and provide a full range of simulator scenario training to aircrew members.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and associated systems.
- Provide expertise to contribute to the effective and efficient use of FSTD capabilities, supporting military instructors.
- Instruct students in checklist procedures and basic system knowledge within the FSTDs.
- Provide comprehensive simulator scenario training to aircrew members during all phases of training.
- Conduct theoretical and practical training, augmenting the Customer Training Organization as required.
- Lead training and scenario development and review processes.
- Instruct basic system knowledge, normal and emergency procedure training, and student instructor familiarization training.
- Support the planning, guidance, and execution of simulated events, including distributed simulator training exercises.
- Provide briefings and debriefings to trainees and lead scheduling activities.
- Maintain and update all required technical and operational publications and data provided by the customer.
- Contribute to the further development of the training program.
- Provide demonstrations during visits.
- Provide and track data for training, training events, student performance, and generic statistics.
- Support the On-Site Manager as required.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Recent and thorough working knowledge of pilot responsibilities and duties related to wide-body jet aircraft.
- A minimum of three (3) years and 1,000 flying hours as a Pilot in the E-3, E-8, and/or Boeing 707.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Instructor Pilot on E-3 and/or E-8 aircraft.
- Must be a citizen of a NATO member state.
- Eligible for NATO Security Clearance.
- Excellent organizational skills, including a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills across diverse customer groups.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and service-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English.
