Gulfstream 550 Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gulfstream 550 pilot to join our team as an Instructor Pilot in Las Vegas. This position offers a unique opportunity to transition from the cockpit to the classroom, sharing expertise and shaping the next generation of aviators.
The Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering high-quality flight training in a simulator and ground school environment, adhering to regulatory guidelines, CAE-approved curriculum, and customer-specific requirements. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training journey. After 1.5+ years, and per business needs, instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing simulator/flight and classroom instruction on assigned aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
- Conducting thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings, adhering to CAE standards.
- Completing required administrative duties, including maintaining training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking personal instructional qualifications.
- Acting as a subject matter expert in curriculum and courseware development when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Holds or meets qualifications to receive an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Type Rating.
- Demonstrates a passion for teaching through strong communication skills.
- Possesses basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
- Must participate in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Holds experience flying business aircraft.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
