Phenom Instructor Pilot

CAE is seeking a dedicated and skilled Phenom Instructor Pilot to join its team at the new, state-of-the-art facility in Las Vegas. This individual will be responsible for delivering high-quality flight training in both flight simulators and ground school settings, adhering to all regulatory agency requirements, CAE-approved curricula, and customer specifications. The Instructor Pilot will serve as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training programs. After 1.5+ years, based on business needs, designated instructors are expected to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides instruction in simulator/flight or classroom environments on assigned aircraft types for licensing, type ratings, internal training, certifications, and pilot qualifications.
  • Conducts comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
  • Completes necessary administrative duties, including maintaining training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking personal instructional qualifications and activities.
  • May serve as a subject matter expert in the creation of curricula and courseware.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Holds or meets qualifications to receive an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Type Rating.
  • Possesses a passion for teaching and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrates basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.
  • Participates in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
  • Experience flying business aircraft is considered a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the physical dexterity required for tasks that involve hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
  • Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
