Instructor Pilot

CAE, a global leader in civil aviation training, seeks highly skilled and experienced Instructor Pilots to join its elite team. This pivotal role involves delivering comprehensive flight training within a state-of-the-art flight simulator environment and ground school setting. Successful candidates will act as subject matter experts, guiding clients through their training programs and ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory standards (including those set by the appropriate agency and CAE’s approved curriculum). After a minimum of 18 months, based on operational needs, selected instructors will be expected to qualify as Training Center Evaluators (TCEs) and customer contract check airmen.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver simulator/flight and classroom instruction across various aircraft types, contributing to the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training certifications, and pilot qualifications.
• Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings, adhering to all CAE standards.
• Maintain comprehensive training records, identify the need for remedial training, and track personal instructional qualifications and activity.
• Contribute expertise in the development of curricula and courseware as needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of relevant aviation experience.
• Proven teaching or training experience preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Authorization to live and work in the United States.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet-based programs.
• Participation in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program is mandatory.
• Existing instructor qualification or type rating preferred.
• Current or previous possession of a professional pilot's license.
• Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000+ total flight hours, unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate, and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.

Physical Requirements:

This position demands physical dexterity for tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods (4-6 hours), stand for prolonged periods (up to 10 hours), and perform tasks involving sitting, stooping, climbing, twisting, and turning.
