Mission Simulator Operator/Instructor – Passive Controller
CAE, a global leader in training solutions for critical roles, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Mission Simulator Operator/Instructor – Passive Controller to join our team in Geilenkirchen, Germany (near Aachen). We empower pilots, aircrews, and defence forces to excel, contributing to a safer world through cutting-edge simulation technology and training programs. This pivotal role supports the effective and efficient utilization of our state-of-the-art Simulator Training Devices (STDs).
Responsibilities:
- Operate STDs and associated systems, ensuring optimal performance and contributing to efficient training delivery.
- Provide expert guidance to military instructors, optimizing STD capabilities to meet training objectives.
- Deliver comprehensive instruction in checklist procedures and basic system knowledge within the STD environment.
- Conduct a full spectrum of simulator-based scenario training for aircrew across all training phases.
- Contribute to the Customer Training Organization by providing theoretical and practical instruction as needed.
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of training scenarios.
- Instruct aircrew in basic system knowledge, normal and emergency procedures, and student instructor familiarization training.
- Support the planning, guidance, and execution of simulated events, including distributed simulator training exercises.
- Facilitate pre- and post-training briefings and debriefings, and manage training schedules.
- Maintain and update all necessary technical and operational publications and data provided by the client.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of training programs.
- Deliver demonstrations to visitors and stakeholders.
- Track and report key data related to training, events, student performance, and general statistics.
- Provide support to the On-Site Manager as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and relevant professional certification; minimum 5-8 years of experience in an international environment.
- Thorough, up-to-date understanding of wide-body jet aircraft pilot responsibilities and duties.
- Minimum 3 years' experience and 1000 flight hours as a pilot on E-3, E-8, and/or Boeing 707 aircraft.
- Minimum 1 year experience as an instructor pilot on E-3 and/or E-8 aircraft.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English.
- Eligibility for NATO security clearance.
