Instructor Pilot

Overview

CAE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructor Pilot to join our team. As an Instructor Pilot, you will be responsible for delivering flight training in a flight simulator and/or ground school environment. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) and guide clients through their training programs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on one or more aircraft types as assigned for the issuance of licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.
• Conduct pre and post flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner, adhering to CAE standards.
• Perform required administrative duties, including completing training records, recommending remedial training when necessary, and tracking personal instructional qualifications and activity.
• Contribute to the creation of curricula and courseware as required, leveraging expertise as a subject matter expert.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required.
• 2-5 years of relevant job experience.
• Previous experience teaching or training others preferred.
• Proven experience demonstrating a strong customer service orientation.
• Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
• Ability to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
• Holds an existing instructor qualification or type rating, preferred.
• Holds or has held a professional pilot's license.
• Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time.
• Preferred: Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.

Physical Requirements:

• Physical dexterity required for tasks involving hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time (as many as 10 hours) with limited breaks.
• Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
