About the Role
CAE is seeking an IOS Instructor to join its Customer & Training Services department in Nordholz, Germany. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining the Full Flight Simulator (FSS) and Flight Training Device (FTD), ensuring their functionality and providing comprehensive simulator scenario training for flight crew members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Flight Simulator Training Devices (FSTDs) and associated systems.
- Instruct students on basic system knowledge utilizing FSTDs.
- Provide expertise to ensure efficient and effective use of FSTD capabilities, supporting military instructors in achieving training goals.
- Conduct training on basic system knowledge, normal and emergency procedures, including air refueling if applicable.
- Assist in planning, guiding, and executing simulated training events.
- Support MSN SIM scenarios and training as required.
- Facilitate Distributed SIM Training.
- Deliver briefings and debriefings to trainees.
- Assist with scheduling activities as needed.
- Maintain and update technical publications and data provided by NATO.
- Contribute to simulator scenario development.
- Update and create relevant documentation.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the training program.
- Provide demonstrations during visits.
- Assist and test simulator operators during capability tests and associated events.
- Support classroom trainings and simulator instructions.
- Support academic training.
- Administer written tests.
- Contribute to the improvement and development of training programs and courseware.
- Provide and track data for training events, training provided, student performance, and general statistics.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Completed pilot training or air traffic controller certification.
- Qualified military pilot or air traffic controller.
- Minimum 3 years (or 500 hours) of professional experience as a Pilot or Controller.
- Thorough working knowledge of aircraft pilot responsibilities.
- Additional qualification as Train the Trainer and CRM Trainer is desirable.
- Knowledge of C2 – Command & Control systems.
- Experience in training students in a military environment.
- Experience with modern modeling and simulation technologies.
- Commitment to maintaining personal qualifications and requirements up to date.
- Successful completion of annual Re-Qualifications/Evaluations.
- Fluency in English, German language proficiency is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Intercultural competence and teamwork skills.
