Instructor Pilot - Flight Simulation and Ground School
CAE, a global leader in modelling, simulation and training for civil aviation, is seeking experienced and passionate pilots to join its elite Instructor Pilot Team. As an Instructor Pilot, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality flight training in a flight simulator and ground school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver flight training in accordance with applicable regulatory agencies, CAE-approved curriculum, and customer requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in your assigned aircraft type, leading clients through their training programs.
- After a period of 1.5+ years, qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman, as per business needs.
- Conduct pre and post flight simulator briefings in a professional and comprehensive manner adhering to CAE standards.
- Complete training records, recommend remedial training when necessary, and track personal instructional qualifications and activities.
- Contribute to the creation of curricula and courseware as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or college degree preferred; High School diploma or state issued equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in the aviation field.
- Previous experience teaching or training others is highly valued.
- Proven experience demonstrating strong customer service skills.
- Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other internet-based programs.
- Must be able to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Existing instructor qualification or type rating preferred.
- Holds or has held a professional pilot's license.
- Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Preferred: Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and a minimum of one unrestricted PIC type rating.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical dexterity for tasks requiring hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
