Flight Simulator Instructor
Overview
The Flight Simulator Instructor plays a crucial role in delivering aviation training programs, ensuring adherence to all aviation authority approvals, defined standards, and processes. This position prioritizes the highest standards of safety, compliance, and training quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training duties in accordance with the established Flight Simulator Instructor job description.
- Adhere to all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Proactively recommend revisions to SOPs as necessary to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Monitor the progress of students, developing action plans to address any performance gaps and support their successful development.
- Actively promote and support improvements and enhancements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials utilized by the Aviation Training Organization (ATO).
- Participate in the Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, providing recommendations for remedial action (if necessary) concerning training progress or trainee disciplinary issues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1000 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) on a multi-crew jet transport.
- Hold a valid Simulator Instructor Rating, or equivalent rating or certification.
- Hold or have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Demonstrated experience in Airline/ATO training.
- Previous experience as a TRI/TRE/SFI/FI/DFE.
- Knowledge and experience of AQP/EBT/CBTA/IEC.
- Comprehensive understanding of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
- Highly motivated and disciplined individual with initiative who can deliver results on time and motivate others in a remote working environment.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to foster strong working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
- Proven leadership skills and a track record of working effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
