Overview

Role and Responsibilities

Join our team of experienced Simulator Instructors at RAF Benson across the Merlin, Chinook, and Puma platforms. You’ll be responsible for training from aircraft type conversion of students of varying levels of experience to teaching and mentoring crews across the full spectrum of the aircraft’s capabilities. This will include techniques and tactics within immersive realistic environmental and operational scenarios, day and night.

On occasion, you may also need to operate the IOS/TCC on aircraft types for which you’re not qualified, undertake CBT/CAI instruction in the ground school to support. You may also qualify as an instrument rating examiner in order to conduct tests within the simulator environment.

We’re looking for experienced QHIs join our team, along with good communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. CAE can offer the necessary training, re-training, and recertification to get you fully integrated with our team. We’re ideally looking for full time employees, but we may be able to consider part time opportunities in some cases. We’re also interested in talking to you even if it’s for future career moves.

What are we looking for?

+ Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI): B1, A1, or A2

+ Ideally experienced on one of the platforms CAE supports (Chinook, Merlin, Puma), but we’re considering people with experience on other platforms with a willingness to undergo training

+ Excellent leadership, teaching, and communication skills
