Aviation Instructor Position
The Aviation Instructor plays a key role in delivering high-quality aviation training programs. This position demands strict adherence to regulatory requirements and company standards while providing effective instruction across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains all personal licenses, ratings, and instructor currency, including medical fitness, necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Ensures the validity of any Authority approval required before conducting training activities under that approval's privileges.
- Adheres strictly to company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines when conducting any training function or lesson plan.
- Complies with all regulations and procedures related to Authority-approved training programs.
- Delivers thorough and positive simulator briefings and training sessions to maximize trainee pilot benefit.
- Accurately records and discusses any deviations from required SOPs, procedures, or maneuvers with trainee pilots during simulator de-briefings.
- Reviews client Training and Checking Authorization forms before commencing any training.
- Provides comprehensive simulator instruction on one or multiple aircraft types, requiring significant time (four or more hours per session, excluding briefings) in the simulator.
- Conducts professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.
- Instructs various classroom ground school formats, including Simfinity, CBT, IPT, or stand-up lectures, involving extended periods of standing and/or sitting (8 to 10 hours per day).
- Supports the development and certification processes for training curriculum and devices, such as simulators, FTDs, and FMS training aids.
- Works towards attaining FAA/EASA ground school and simulator instructor designations within approximately 12 months of hire.
- Obtains necessary qualifications to serve as an examiner and performs examiner duties under the relevant authority for the assigned aircraft fleet.
- Performs Right Seat Support Duties as required.
- Undertakes other miscellaneous duties, including completing training records, recommending remedial training, and tracking personal instructional qualifications.
- Prepares and inspects classroom facilities and equipment before the start of each training day.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
