The Grob 120TP Instructor will report directly to the Chief Pilot and is responsible for delivering high-quality flight instruction to student pilots utilizing the Grob G120TP aircraft and associated training devices. This role supports the Army Fixed Wing Program and evolving international military training programs. The instructor provides training in aircraft, classroom, simulator, or practical environments as required. Additionally, the position may involve serving as a Subject Matter Expert for curriculum development, reviewing courseware, and undertaking administrative duties such as publications, safety support, quality audits, training coordination, and scheduling. Ensuring a safe and secure work environment is paramount. CAE provides comprehensive training in the Grob G120TP, including Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) certification by Aviation Performance Solutions (APS).
The incumbent must comply with all company security and data protection/usage policies and procedures. Personal responsibility for the proper marking and handling of all information and materials is required. Information or access shall not be divulged to employees without a need-to-know or outside the company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company-provided resources. Eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance is required. Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
The role may require domestic and international travel. Physical requirements include the ability to walk and/or climb stairs and ladders into simulator or airplane cockpits, stoop, bend, and crawl on top of or under machinery. The ability to detect odors or hear noises indicative of problems with equipment is necessary. While work is primarily in a regular office environment utilizing standard communication tools, the role also involves exposure to working areas with potential risks such as electrical shock, moving mechanical parts driven by high-pressure hydraulics, extreme heat, airborne particles, and loud noises. Physical stamina and appropriate stature are required to maintain composure in an airplane seat while wearing a parachute during aerobatic flight profiles.
