Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking an experienced Instructor Pilot to join our global team. In this role, the successful candidate will facilitate high-quality simulator and ground training, serving as a subject matter expert to ensure pilots are prepared for critical operations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to aviation excellence while utilizing cutting-edge training technology.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional, comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Serve as a subject matter expert for client training and internal course development.

Manage administrative duties, including maintaining training records, instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Advance toward qualifying as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years of service.
Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Capacity to move into various positions, including confined spaces.

Ability to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods.

Capability to occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.

Ability to occasionally adjust or move objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

Proficiency in performing repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of the ATP Written exam.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in the CAE DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a demonstrated passion for teaching.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred: 3,000+ total flight hours and FAR Part 135 experience.

Highly Desired: Experience flying business aircraft.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior instructional or training experience.

Falcon aircraft experience.

Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail regarding recordkeeping per CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: $37.50/hr during training; $75/hr post-qualification.
