Simulator Instructor
The Simulator Instructor is responsible for conducting all training activities in compliance with authority approvals, defined standards, and processes. He ensures that the highest standards of safety, compliance, and training quality are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training duties, including classroom and simulator sessions, related to delivering the relevant Type Rating.
- Assist with the preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to comply with requirements.
- Monitor the progress of clients and students, and develop action plans to assist those not progressing to the required standards.
- Promote and support improvements and enhancements to processes, documentation, courseware, and training materials utilized by the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training (HOT).
Qualifications:
- Preferably holds or has held a valid Simulator Instructor Rating, or equivalent rating or certification.
- Holds a Certificate of ATPL.
- Possesses a minimum of 2,000 total flight hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on Air Transport Aircraft OR 1,000 flight hours as PIC on the B787.
- Holds or has held an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL with a minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Demonstrates excellent command and fluency in the English language to facilitate session briefings and training effectively.
- Possesses previous flying experience working for an international airline.
- Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and teaching ability required for a Simulator Flight Instructor (SFI).
- Has no prior airline accident history.
- Possesses previous experience as a simulator instructor, preferably on the B787.
