Simulator Instructor - Boeing 737
About the Role
This position, based at CAE Perth, reports to the Head of Training (HOT). The Simulator Instructor - Boeing 737 is responsible for delivering high-quality training using CAE's B737 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) and other designated training equipment. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient training environment for clients and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct training sessions in accordance with the established Flight Simulator Instructor (FSI) job description and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of training materials and processes.
- Liaise with the Simulator Technical department to ensure the FFS is maintained to the highest training standards.
- Monitor the progress of clients and students, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in the Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, offering recommendations for improvement where necessary.
- Conduct FFS/FTD training sessions as required, in conjunction with office duties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 1000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on a multi-crew jet transport.
- Valid Simulator Instructor Rating or equivalent certification.
- Hold or have held an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with a minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Previous experience in Airline/ATO training.
- Prior experience as a TRI/TRE/SFI/FI/DFE.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with AQP/EBT/CBTA/IEC.
- Strong understanding of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
- Proven ability to motivate and lead in a remote working environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven leadership skills and experience in working effectively within a multi-cultural environment.
- Basic IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
