Aviation Simulator Instructor (Fixed-Term, On-Call)
Role Overview
The Simulator Instructor plays a pivotal role in delivering aviation training activities. This position mandates strict adherence to all authority approvals, defined standards, and established processes, thereby ensuring the maintenance of the highest standards of safety, compliance, and training quality within the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive training duties, encompassing both classroom instruction and advanced simulator sessions, essential for delivering relevant Type Rating courses.
- Assists with the meticulous preparation of courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, to ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Monitors and evaluates the progress of clients and students, proactively developing and implementing tailored action plans for those requiring additional support to meet rigorous training standards.
- Actively promotes and champions continuous improvements and enhancements across all training processes, documentation, courseware, and materials utilized by the ATO.
- Undertakes additional duties as assigned by the Lead Instructor or the Head of Training (HOT).
Required Qualifications & Experience
Candidates must demonstrate the following essential qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on multi-crew jet transport aircraft.
- A minimum of 500 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience specifically on ATR72 500/600 aircraft.
- Possession or prior holding of an ICAO-recognized Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Commercial Pilot License (CPL), or Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL) with a minimum ICAO English level 5.
- Demonstrable previous experience in airline or Approved Training Organization (ATO) training environments.
- Proven prior experience as a Simulator Instructor or Type Rating Instructor.
- Proficiency in basic IT skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Preferred Qualification
- Preferably holds or has held a valid Simulator Instructor Rating, or an equivalent rating or certification.
